Krakow, one of the oldest towns in Poland and Poland’s former capital, now is a city with a long historical tradition and rich cultural heritage. and architectural details. Cracow is a city of dozens of museums housing untold wealth of the finest and priceless works of art of all kinds.
One of the most unusual museums in the world - The Main Market Square Underground Museum - takes visitors to the medieval Cracow, you can see there objects found during last excavations, you can see actual medieval roads and a lot more….
Among many fascinating museums in Cracow is also the Archeological Museum: visitors are impressed by exhibitions presenting life from prehistoric times till present, and they can see objects from ancient Egypt, including Egyptian mummies.
Cracow means not only the city centre, but also the environs of the city: there you can see the impressive 1000-year-old Benedictine Abbey of Tyniec and an unusual, picturesque Cameldolite Church and Hermitage on Silver Mountain.
Cracow is also famous for its festivals, e. g. the Jewish Culture Festival, Off Camera Festival, Summer Jazz Festival, International Festival of Early Music, and a lot of others.
